2015 APC/PCUG Conference
The 22nd annual APC/PCUG Conference organized by Reinhold Environmental was held Atlanta from 13th -14th of July. The main topics of this conference and exhibition are ESP and fabric filter technology, desulphurization and mercury control. Attending now for many years Evonik Fibres had the honor to host the technical training class for fabric filter technology and maintenance. The session held by our bag house specialist Florin Popovici was well attended by an interested audience.
Besides the detailed discussions for baghouses the conference was also a platform to discuss the global topics of the industry. Whereas the new NESHAP rules for the cement gives a clear and positive picture for the APC industry in the next years, the supply shortage of PPS fibres and litigation between EPA and the energy lobbies create an uncertain situation for the industry in the coal fired boiler business.
